Black Hikers Week Detroit: Introductory Hike

We kicked off Black Hikers Week Detroit with an easy introductory hike around Belle Isle, giving everyone a chance to connect, move, and enjoy some of the best views of the Detroit River.

The route was beginner friendly and full of good energy. It was the perfect introduction to our Juneteenth community celebration, centered around community, wellness, culture, and creating more space for Black people in the outdoors.
