Meet Us Outside: The First September Hike

We kicked off September with a little taste of fall hiking at Highland State Recreation Area!

The leaves weren't quite changing colors yet, but the trails were still giving us plenty to enjoy. We took on 5 miles of wooded trails, rolling hills, lake views and a little over 200 feet of elevation. Nothing too crazy, but definitely enough to get those legs working.

Highland had a nice mix of scenery and terrain that made this a great way to ease into the fall hiking season. Of course, the good company and conversations along the way made those miles go by even better.
