Hike & Dine Events: The Border Trek - Detroit to Windsor

WE HIKED TO CANADA!

Now this was a different kind of Monday evening hike where Hike & Dine switched things up and took our usual Monday pop up hike INTERNATIONAL!

Instead of hitting our usual trails around Metro Detroit, we made our way across the Gordie Howe International Bridge from Detroit to Windsor, Canada.

We traded wooded trails for skyline views and got to experience the Detroit River from a whole different perspective. Not too often can you say you walked from one country to another!

This was definitely one for the books and another reminder that hiking doesn't always have to involve mountains or wooded trails. Sometimes it's just about getting outside, exploring somewhere different and making memories along the way.
