Train for the Trails: August Edition

Stony Creek Metropark | Shelby Township, MI

We’re back with another Train for the Trails experience, and this one is all about getting trail-ready not just before we head to Georgia, but preparing for our fall season hikes, as well.

Know Before You Register

This hike requires:

  • Prior hiking experience -OR- you must have the physical ability to handle the different elements of outdoor hiking (including but not limited to weather conditions, terrain changes, elevation, etc.)

  • The ability to comfortably complete long-distance hikes (5+ miles)

  • Awareness of your physical health, endurance level, and limitations

  • A commitment to the full duration of the hike (timing may vary based on group pace and trail conditions)

NOTE: If you’re new to hiking or prefer shorter, more relaxed experiences, don’t worry, we always offer easier Hike & Dine events that are perfect for building up to something like this.

  • Those training for our Georgia, and any out-of-town hikes and travel experiences

  • Individuals who enjoy a challenge with a rewarding outcome

  • Anyone looking to build real momentum heading into peak hiking season

Train for the Trails will always be about discipline, awareness, and growth on the trail.

Every step you take here prepares you for bigger experiences ahead.
