1) Dress in layers properly. (Base layer = moisture-wicking made from synthetic materials, Middle layer = fleece or synthetic insulation, Outer later = windproof and/or waterproof shell.

2) Protect Your Extremities. (Head = hats/beanie, Hands = insulated & waterproof gloves, Feet = thick socks, moisture-wicking, and waterproof boots)

3) Use insulated water bottles to keep your beverages from freezing.

4) Eat calorie-dense snacks such as nuts, energy bars, & dried fruit to prevent dehydration and maintain energy.

5) Keep moving to avoid cooling down too quickly.

6) Take short breaks when you take breaks to avoid cooling down too quickly.

7) Stay hydrated at all times. People sometimes don't feel thirsty because it's not hot.

 8) Monitor for hypothermia (shivering, confusion, slurred speech, fatigue) and frostbite (numbness, tingling, or discoloration in extremities)
