We want to bring this to everyone's attention, as it is something we'll be prioritizing more on future hikes.
For many of us in lower Michigan, hiking typically means flat trails with limited terrain variety. A trail rated as "moderate" here might feel much easier compared to a hike in a western state with rocky, uneven terrains that some here may not be used to. It's important to note that the number of hike you've completed doesn't automatically make you an experienced hiker. Every hike definitely adds to your experience, but unfamiliar terrain can still present new challenges.
When hiking with a group, it's essential to recognize your limits and be mindful of what to expect. If you feel a hike is beyond your comfort zone, it's okay to opt out-safety always comes first.
At Hike & Dine Events, we provide detailed information about what to expect on the trail when you register for a hike. Our goal is to prepare you thoroughly so you can enjoy the journey with confidence.
