Black Hikers Week
Detroit Rooted in Motion
June 14 - 20, 2026
Get ready for a week of adventure, connection, wellness, and community as we celebrate the first-ever Black Hikers Week: Rooted in Motion. Whether you're an experienced outdoor enthusiast, a first-time hiker, or simply looking for a space to connect with great people, this week was created to bring us together through the power of nature, movement, and shared experiences.
From scenic trails and wellness experiences to community gatherings and cultural celebrations, Black Hikers Week is an opportunity to explore the outdoors, build new connections, learn new skills, and celebrate the growing presence of Black outdoor enthusiasts throughout Metro Detroit and beyond.
